One Little Word...

My one little word that I have chose for the year 2011.
Better.
I want to beome a
better person
better mother
better sister
better friend
better blogger
better everything.

In the past year I have dropped the ball on alot of things.
Have let alot of people down.
Not followed thru with projects.
Lulled, moped, and procastinated
to the point where all you feel is
depressed, down and out and
in the dumps.

I wanted to find a word that was meaningful and
something I could work towards.
I am looking forward to this
New Year
and the journey this
one little word
will take me.

Wishing you a Blessed New Year.

Blissfull ATC Swap

My partner for this swap was Leila. This was her first ever ATC.
I think she did an awesome job!
(sorry that the pic is so dark ?)

This is the back. I love how she incorporated it to look like the
front page of a newspaper. Clever!

She also sent this sweet gift along with it.
It is a 5 x 7 digital collage print made by Leila.
It's beautiful!
Thank you Leila!

This is what I sent Leila.
I wrapped the ATC in ribbon and lace
and also sent a vintage bingo card and doily along
with a orange leaf doily.

This is the ATC I created.
I forgot to mention the theme this round was orange!
If you hadn't guessed!
It's not to late to sign up for next month's ATC swap,
every month there is a different theme. Head on over
here to get the details.

Miss Rhea's Easter Basket Swap...

This was such a fun swap! We had 2 partners each and were to make an Easter Basket out of a yogurt cup and send 5 little treasures with it. My first partner was Karen. This is the beautiful basket she created and the lovely treasures she sent! A sweet Easter postcard, a beautiful pink broach, a lovely little doll, a decopaged egg, and a beautiful piece of sheet music with pretty pink flowers on it! Thank you Karen I love it all!
My second partner was Linda. This is the sweet basket she created! She turned it into a pin cushion! And the lovely gifts she attached to sweet little cards, glass buttons, crown charms, glass glitter, a cameo, and a rhinestone adorned roll of lace! Thank you Linda! I love it all!
Here are the five little gifts I sent. Above went to Linda and below went to Karen. I made a wreath out of a wooden curtain ring, a velvet bookmark with vintage jewels, a vintage salt shaker filled with german glass glitter, a millinery flower, and a piece of rhinestone jewelry.

I could not locate the pictures of the baskets I made my partners ( I think my computer ate them!) So hop on over to Miss Rhea's she has the complete list of partners. Thank you Miss Rhea for hosting such a great swap!
Have a joyful Easter!
